Dream
I am working in a factory. It is nighttime and I am on a break in the lunchroom reading a Time magazine. I am reading an article about a sex predator, and it is very graphic in its depiction of his life. I am quite shocked reading it. I complain to factory manager about it. I tell him that Time should not have published it in their magazine because anyone, including young teenagers, could read it and be affected by it. He defended the right of Time to publish it.

Dream notes and associations
Obvious connections to what happened when I was a teenager. The manager was someone who was a bus depot manager where I worked. I am curious to know where my attitude is coming from. The article was written from the perspective of the sex predator.
My feelings throughout the dream and on awakening
Shock
Hi Lindsay, it seems the perspective of the perpetrator is attempting to come through (as with The Aqueduct dream). Do you remember what was written in the article?
I can’t remember the exact words, but it was a stream-of-consciousness writing describing what was going on in his (or her) mind when a victim was raped. The article did not specify the gender of the predator.
