Paul
Dream
I walk into a room, and I see Paul, a friend of mine, who died a few years ago, sitting on a chair by a window. He looks like someone has just dug him out of his grave. He is covered in dirt. His body and clothes look like they are in a dreadful state. I am shocked to see him. I say; 'Paul, what are you doing here? You are supposed to be dead!' He says he is hungry, and he hasn't any money. I give him a $2 coin to get something out of the vending machine. I think the building was a bus depot where I worked.

Dream notes and associations
Paul died within the past 10 years of pancreatic cancer. I understand it was a horrible death. He was long term partner of my friend Penny (not my partner Penny!) Penny considered him to be a bad partner but he was a good father to their 2 daughters. I once lived in a share house with Penny and Paul. I believe Paul suffered from depression and I believe that he was, also, bi-polar. I didn't attend his funeral due to the short notice given, and it was some distance away. I would have liked to have attended.
In the dream he is sitting next to a window, covered with venetian blinds. The blinds were open, and a lush green park was visible in the distance. There was a dream about Penny and her daughters but can't remember what it was called.
The fact that he is hungry, and I give him $2 to help alleviate the hunger, sounds significant. Lacking nourishment has featured in other dreams, recently.
My feelings throughout the dream and on awakening
Shocked!!, hunger

Hi Lindsay, very strong theme here about resurrection. Also the open window overlooking the lush green park seems hopeful.
