My sister decides to make the ultimate sacrifice and take a bullet meant for a whale, her sister, to save her life. But the whale also dies. I am an investigative journalist. I want to know why this situation even arose, let alone happened.

Dream notes and associations
I don't have a sister. This dream sounded like those myths and legends ancient people told each other to understand why the world is the way it is. My recent cemetery dreams? It felt over the top like my previous garden bed dream. Also, the subject of death is all around me at the moment. Richard, my former dream therapist and friend for 40+ years, recently passed away. On my way to his life celebration, on the sunshine coast, I received an email advising me of the death of another friend, and his funeral was going to be on the same day but in Sydney. Penny went to that one. On the day prior to this dream another friend posted on Facebook that her faithful canine companion had passed away, aged 14 years.
Not sure if I made it clear in the dream description but there is a sisterly connection between my sister and the whale.

Hi Lindsay, my condolences for the loss of your friends. Interesting to note that there seemed to be no saving the whale, however death in dreams represents transformation. And in dreams whales are a symbol of power, hope and spiritual transformation.
