I am a young boy visiting an archeological dig somewhere in a desert. I am sitting, naked, in a depression left by a boat that has long since disappeared. I am imagining myself as an ancient mariner exploring the seas that have long gone. The boat, that left the depression wasn't a large boat. In fact it looked like a modern tinnie.
I am feeling very sexually aroused.

Dream notes and associations

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by deserts and any archeological explorations of them.
Interesting that I am sitting in a depression. The dream didn't feel depressed. Interesting comparison between the desert and the ancient sea. I am wondering if this is emergent phenomena from recent dreams. Reminds me of my desert trek dream and a dream, from long ago, the old wooden pier. Seas represent the unconscious. What do deserts represent?
My friend and former dream analyst, Richard, owned a tinnie but I have never travelled in it.

Hi Lindsay, deserts tend to symbolise isolation but also an invitation to seek out the rich underground beneath the surface…is there more digging to do?
